Work done with the talented people at Murmur Creative
My Role: Art Direction, Design Concepts, Photography Direction
Our goal was to redefine Wallowa Valley’s ultra-green and ultra-effective cleaning products by crafting a brand that reflects their deep environmental commitment.

While their products were unbeatable, their former branding and design was working against them. We worked with Wallowa Valley to translate their values and unique brand attributes into a cohesive story that could be expressed across all of their touch points.
LOGO SYSTEM
With a focus on preserving the essence of the region, characterized by mountains and flowing streams, we crafted a badge that communicates a sense of purity and respect for the natural environment that are central to the brand. The typography reinforces that connection to nature by evoking themes of the wilderness and the wild west.
In an effort to reduce plastic waste, the consumer products were designed as a part of a larger refillery system where consumers could refill their bottles at store locations around town.
PHOTOGRAPHY
To support the launch of the rebrand, we created a new set of product and lifestyle images that spoke to the brand’s core message. To highlight the origin story of the brand and its environmental focus, the products were shot on location in the picturesque landscapes of the Wallowa Valley. The studio shoot relied on bold colors and graphic compositions to support the lifestyle images and bring a modern freshness to the category.
In order to reach a broader market, Wallowa created Wallowa Basics, a line of green cleaning solutions with simpler formulas and an affordable price tag.
